The Metric stainless steel weld nuts are very common and the steel material grades used to produce the nuts vary widely as well. Ordinary or general corrosive applications can use the basic 304 type of stainless steel. Applications that need higher corrosion resistance use the 316 SS weld nut because of the strength and improved corrosion resistance of the material. As a leading manufacturer and supplier, we supply the nuts in all different types, sizes, material grades and standards. Please feel free to contact us for more information on the different types such as the SS 304 weld nut and the pricing.
Rolex Metal Distributors is one of the largest Weld nut manufacturers in India and we produce the nuts in different types, grades and sizes. Depending on the specification and the type, the sizes and dimensions vary. The Stainless Steel Weld Nuts are most common. There are differently shaped nuts but the Stainless Steel Hex Weld Nuts are very common in usage. The different between other nuts and the weld nut is that the weld nut is deliberately manufactured for welding after installation. This will provide the application maximum tightness and the bolt cannot loosen because the weld nut does not turn after welding. The M8 Stainless Steel Weld Nut and other sizes are used for different types of applications. The nuts are welded with projection welding most of the times because of the thicker welding finish by the projection welding. Spot welding is sufficient for thinner welding on thinner material sheets, but with thicker sheets and larger nuts, the projection welding is preferred over spot welding. The Weld Nut DIN 929 standard covers different types such as the round, slab base, hex, retainer, tube end and flange weld nut types. The dimensions are according to different standards as well.
The Indian standard for weld nut is the IS 1367 and the products have to conform to this standards for use in India.
